At IFAS, I am investigating fuel cell-based propulsion systems for future aviation. In my project, I am focusing on identifying suitable components and architectures for the air supply system and analyzing interactions with other subsystems and aircraft design. To this end, I am developing a performance calculation program for system design and flight mission calculation as well as for characterizing parameter influences. What I find particularly exciting about my research is the challenge of designing and combining the interacting components in the best possible way, as well as the interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues, project partners, and students.
