In a world facing major global challenges, our research can only be successful through collaboration between different disciplines, universities and research institutions, business, politics, culture and society. It is only by drawing on these different perspectives that we can develop innovative solutions and measures to address these challenges and create a lasting impact. Through our initiative, 'Ecoversity: Collaborative Space for Change', we are embracing a dynamic ecosystem approach to cooperation. We are transforming our university into an 'Ecoversity' — an ecosystem university.
We interpret this as a vibrant network of universities, research institutions, companies and other stakeholders working together to generate interdisciplinary knowledge and collaboration, and to facilitate knowledge transfer and innovation. This allows them to find sustainable solutions to complex problems. In the shared belief that the future of science lies in cooperation, we share our infrastructure and networks with each other.
Our goal is to transform TU Braunschweig into a networked 'Ecosystem University' with a national and international reach. Through our collaborative approach, we are combining the strengths of our regional, national and international partner institutions. As an Ecoversity, we implement measures that enable our members to network more closely with our partners and collaborate on joint initiatives.
As an Ecoversity, we create strong networks and actively promote them. We encourage and promote formats that facilitate close cooperation with our regional scientific institutions, as well as with society, business, politics and culture. This promotes synergy effects and drives innovation in research, studies, teaching, transfer and administration. This enables us to realise the full potential of our ecosystem and achieve visibility that extends far beyond the borders of our region.

The success of our Ecoversity depends on the commitment of our people. We need researchers, lecturers, staff and students who think beyond disciplinary boundaries and enjoy collaborating with internal and external partners to overcome challenges. They contribute to research and teaching, their studies, transfer projects, academic self-administration, science management and administration.
People who actively participate in transformation are called changemakers. They see the community in our ecosystem as an enrichment and gladly accept offers of support to promote it. We support individuals who wish to establish internal networks and build trusting partnerships with businesses, political organisations, cultural institutions and societal groups.
We regularly provide information on current funding opportunities and programmes that support the transition to an Ecoversity. Please feel free to contact us if you have any ideas or requests. We offer personalised advice and support to help turn good ideas into reality quickly.
Are you working on a project involving at least one non-university partner institution? If so, you can apply for funding under the Ecoversity programme here. TU Braunschweig supports both formal and informal formats that serve to establish and strengthen networks. This call for proposals is therefore open to all university members, including technical and administrative staff, students, and scientific and research staff.
