Staff in Department 16 are in charge of central quality management for teaching and study, as well as providing support to the disciplines in the development of degree programmes and quality assurance measures. Their responsibilities include topics such as agreements on objectives, teaching reports, introduction and closure of degree programmes, study quality projects, accreditation, evaluations and supporting university committees (meetings of the Deans of Studies, Commission for Teaching and Study, Commission for Quality of Study). The officers also handle the award and use of special funds for teaching and study (such as government funding for educational quality or Higher Education Pact funding) and are responsible for student concerns. Department 16 assists the Presidency members for Teaching and Study and for Teacher Training and Continuing Education in planning, communicating and implementing actions.
