The main campus of TU Braunschweig is only a few minutes' walk from the historic centre of the city of Braunschweig with its many picturesque half-timbered buildings and medieval townscape.

International Entrepreneurship Summer School

The International Entrepreneurship Summer School (IESS) is an online program for a "hands on" introduction to the world of entrepreneurship and start-up culture.
In 2023, the International Entrepreneurship Summer School will take place from 04 - 08 September, with an initial kick-off event on 27 August.

The program is open to committed future founders. After the kick-off event, participants will form hybrid or fully virtual teams of international participants who can then work together on their business ideas. It is not necessary to have your own business idea. The Entrepreneurship Hub will also showcase selected cutting-edge technologies recently developed at TU Braunschweig and present participants with potential business ideas that you can work on.

Please find more information about the program and the registration here.

International Summer School for German Language and Culture
Summer School participants are jumping in front of the main building

Our summer courses have a long tradition: Every year we offer four to six week intensive courses in German language and culture during the summer semester break. In this courses you will learn German in small groups at up to four different language levels. You will have six lessons on each of the five weekdays, during which you will improve your grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary at the language levels A1 to C1. You will also learn a lot about German culture and regional studies.

The German courses will be accompanied by an extensive excursion and social programme. We will visit historic towns, museums and regional companies. We will see some of TU Braunschweig’s research facilities and have innovative research projects explained to us. During field trips we get more familiar with the nature and culture of the region. Fun activities and enough free time to explore Braunschweig on your own round off our programme.

The courses are aimed at students and young professionals from all over the world who want to use the semester break to improve their German. They are particularly suitable for all students from our partner universities who are planning to study at TU Braunschweig in the following semester.

Summer School for Advanced Sustainable Aviation Technologies
Flight Simulator „AVES“

The world is facing an enormous challenge in transferring aviation into a more sustainable and greener transport mode. Zero emission flights, including the wider mobility sector, are the current priority and require enormous research and development activities which can by no means be limited to classical aerospace disciplines. They require new interdisciplinary approaches, methods and teams covering all aspects from aerospace as well as areas such as materials and structures, chemistry, electrical engineering or even economics and social sciences. In our Summer School course, you can acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical project experience in the field to address these grand challenges, and to connect with fellow students from different countries.

The Summer School for Advances Sustainable Aviation Technologies will be held as a hybrid program in 2023: It will begin as an online event (14-17 August 2023) and then be continued as an in-person event in Braunschweig (21-25 August).
