I am part of the Reactive Flows in Aero Engines research group at IFAS, where my research focuses on the numerical simulation of supersonic combustion. Specifically, I investigate the modeling and simulation of air-breathing hydrogen-fueled rotating detonation combustors.
My work involves the analysis of the combustor, its injection system, and the mixing processes between the propellants using computational fluid dynamics. The objective is to evaluate the fluid dynamics and thermodynamic behavior of the detonation and injection processes to support the assessment of this propulsion concept.
Ultimately, this research contributes to the development of sustainable propulsion and power generation technologies by advancing the application of rotating detonation concepts.
