The International House supports members of TU Braunschweig in intercultural learning. Today, intercultural skills are indispensable elements of qualification for the international job and research market. They also help to ensure the success of studies and integration into the university and society. Internationality includes not only professional expertise and networking, but also knowledge of cultural differences and similarities. By "culture" we also explicitly mean subject, teaching and learning cultures. At the International House of TU Braunschweig you will find a number of initiatives and programmes that make interculturality tangible. Special synergy effects can arise when intercultural and language skills are trained together.
The Certificate for Intercultural Competence (ZiK) allows you to prove your international experience. It is an acknowledgement of your intercultural commitment and a formal proof of your intercultural abilities.
By the way: The International House is interested in a scientific monitoring and evaluation of its offers. If you are planning an academic thesis in the field of "Intercultural Competence Teaching" and are looking for a topic and/or empirical data, please contact us (contact: PD Dr. Andreas Hettiger: a.hettiger(at)tu-braunschweig.de).
Due to current corona developments, no presence-based events are expected to take place at the Language Centre during the entire summer semester 2021. All courses will take place as online courses, possible exceptions will be announced.
During this time, the staff of the Language Centre can be contacted by e-mail.
