Motivation:Within the research collaboration master theis can be co-supervised in our joint research fields:
Development of tools and methods supporting the development of industrial symbiosis and urban factories
Evaluation of Waste-to-Resources concepts e.g. avoidance, valorization and re-use of waste streams, cannibalization, recycling of post-consumer waste streams and new business models that promote industrial symbiosis systems.
Development and initial setup of demonstrator for the Manufacturing Control Tower in the field of energy efficiency and life cycle engineering
Modelling and Simulation for sustainable manufacturing
System of systems modelling to understand the interactions resulting from dynamic resource planning in a company network
Funding: A research stay in Singapore can be funded by SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL PRE-GRADUATE AWARD (SIPGA): https://www.a-star.edu.sg/Scholarships/for-undergraduate-studies/singapore-international-pre-graduate-award-sipgaEligibility: •Very good English Skills. (The research will be conducted and supervised in English) •Very good grades record. •Experience on modeling and simulating manufacturing systems, LCA and LCC knowledge and/or practical experience in our Lernfabrik will be appreciated. •Students with strong interest and commitment to studying sustainability in an interdisciplinary setting are particularly encouraged to apply. Financial assistance for a stay in Singapore is available. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Philipp Grimmel.
