Shotcrete 3D Printing (SC3DP), a robotic additive manufacturing method for concrete, presents a bespoke technology, an innovative approach that accelerates construction processes, conserves resources, and opens new possibilities for structural and architectural design. Furthermore, it enables formwork-free, material efficient and digitally integrated construction. Unlike conventional methods, SC3DP allows concrete to be deposited layer by layer, continuously forming the desired geometry. Additionally, reinforcements made of steel or alternative materials can be integrated directly during the printing process, along with technical installations such as pipes, outlets, and openings. Even surface textures can be designed within the fabrication process itself. Therefore, geometrically complex and loadbearing structures can be printed.
