Before she worked as part of the Maria-Goeppert-Mayer-Professorship "Gender, Technology, Mobility" at the Institut für Flugführung at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, she was a research associate at the Design Research Lab at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bremen.

Research and work priorities:
Gender / Queer / Diversity Studies, Science and Technology Studies, Feminist Science and Technology Studies, Participatory Technology Development, Critical Design Research.

The reflection and action-guiding translation of theories and approaches from the mentioned knowledge domains into other fields of research and application are central concerns of her work and research activities.
