For new applications of (future) assistance systems in ground transportation, (precise) position information will become more and more important as the scope of these systems stretches towards safety-relevance. For the qualification of this kind of applications, a reference measurement platform is needed. Furthermore, procedures for the qualification process have to be devised. This paper addresses both issues and outlines some possible implementations.
