Impromptu

Course content

Short-term design or short-term work (duration three days) focusing on the ad hoc discovery of an urban-design idea and its principal implementation.

Students are able to work on a simple design task without supervision and to organize themselves independently within a tight time frame. They are able to grasp a manageable architectural-design problem and its implications and to formulate a principal solution for it ad hoc. By means of experimental and methodical processes, they are able to transform this idea into a sketchy urban design or a conceptual work and to present and verbally communicate it using suitable means and media.
