Genetics and Cell Biology of Neurological Diseases (ZB28)

Course content

The lecture Neurological Diseases teaches molecular and cellular processes causing pathological alterations and disease-associated symptoms of the human nervous system. The lecture is subdivided into four major topics encompassing general diseases of the nervous system, neurodegenerative diseases, developmental diseases and psychiatric diseases. These topics include: Stroke, Brain Tumors, Epilepsy, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, Polyglutamine-Diseases, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Lissencephalies and Depression among others.

Requirements for choosing this module: successfully finished modules ZB21 or ZB22
