Intended learning outcomes:
The students possess advanced experimental skills in inorganic and organic chemistry. They are able to plan, perform, and analyze experiments and simulations and the scientifically document their re-search. They have participated in and contributed to a current research project. They have experience in the synthesis, isolation, purification, characterization of inorganic, organic, and metal-organic com-pounds and are able to apply analytical methods relevent to the specific research projects. They are familiar with the techniques of scientific reserach as well as good scientific practices and are able to use scientific databases. They are able to find and comprehend scientific arcticles.
Course content:
Research Lab: Conduction and scientific documentation of (parts of) a current research project from molecular chemistry.
Seminar: Participation in scientific colloquia, presentation and discussion of current research results.
