Intended learning outcomes:
The students possess advanced physical-chemical and theoretical-chemical skills. They are able to plan, perform, and analyze experiments and simulations and the scientifically document their re-search. They have participated in and contributed to a current research project. They are familiar with the techniques of scientific reserach as well as good scientific practices and are able to use scientific databases. They are able to find and comprehend scientific arcticles.
Course content:
Lab Course Advanced Physical Chemistry I: Conduction of three experiments, scientific documentation.
Lab Course Advanced Physical Chemistry II: Conduction of three experiments and scientific documentation.
Programming Lab Physical Chemistry: Introduction to scientific programming (e.g. in Python or in LabView), data analysis, programming of micro-controllers and/or microcomputers.
Reserach Lab Physical Chemistry A: Conduction and scientific documentation of (parts of) a current reserach project from physical chemistry.
Seminar Research Laboratory Physical Chemistry: Participation in scientific colloquia, presentation and discussion of current research results.
