Intended learning outcomes:
Using exemplary experiments, the students acquire the skills and abilities to competently and conscientiously carry out experimental work in the field of physical chemistry and physics. They have knowledge of data acquisition as well as (computer-assisted) evaluation and analysis of measurement results and can present these in writing as well as discuss them competently, successfully working in a team with fellow students. Through the use of databases, the students have competence in dealing with electronic media as well as knowledge of scientific information acquisition, analysis and evaluation. The students are able to independently familiarise themselves with physicochemical topics and master basic presentation techniques for conveying knowledge.
Course content:
Introduction to physicochemical working methods, carrying out experiments from various fields of physical chemistry (thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, spectroscopy) after an introductory lecture, writing of reports. Analysis of measurement results and error calculation, software for data analysis, scientific information acquisition; lecture on a specific aspect of physical chemistry.
