Intended learning outcomes:
The students will master advanced organic-chemical working techniques in synthesis and analysis. They are able to plan, carry out, evaluate and scientifically document complex experiments, gaining a detailed insight into current research projects and have participated in their implementation. They are experienced in the synthesis, isolation, characterization and analysis of organic and biologically relevant compounds. They can select suitable analytical methods for different substance classes and collect necessary analytical data. They are familiar with the techniques of research and scientific practice, and are confident in the use of scientific databases.
Course content:
Seminar: Participation in the scientific colloquium, presentation and discussion of current research results.
Lab course: Processing and scientific documentation (protocol management) of two subprojects in the field of chemical synthesis.
