The basics of ONT sequencing (ONT=Oxford Nanopore Technologies) and other sequencing technologies are taught. An overview of the sequencing technologies shows the rapid development. The steps for creating a genome sequence and its annotation are then explained. Other applications in the field of genomics such as read mapping, variant calling, and mapping-by-sequencing will also be covered.
