Intended learning outcomes:
Optical methods are of enormous importance for visualizing biomolecules, their structures and dynamics. These methods are developing rapidly in the recent years. Students will acquire basic knowledge on modern optical methods in the field of life sciences for imaging and studying molecular interactions. Besides, the state-of-the-art methods are presented in a research-oriented manner to enable students to select the optimal methods for their research questions and further to know which method can provide what kind of knowledge?
Course content:
Exercise on modern optical methods and imaging: The exercise will reinforce what has been learned through independent calculations, answering questions and applications. During the exercise, different ways in finding a solution will be discussed.
