TU BRAUNSCHWEIG

Discover science!

Come to the Technische Universität Braunschweig! Whether you are enthusiastic about mathematics, technology or natural sciences and humanities: While you are still at school, you can already experiment in laboratories or solve technical problems at the TU Braunschweig. You can take part in lectures, work as an intern at one of the institutes or register for an early course of study. Gain your first scientific experience at university, by yourself or with your school class. Choose from more than 30 programs and register for the events.

Teachers can also check in with us - either together with their classes or at scientific colloquia. As a parent, you are sure to find a suitable offer for your child. If you want further information on our programs, contact

We have selection of our school-university offers below. If you need further information on our programs, please contact the school-network management.

Agnes-Pockels-Pupils-Laboratory

(6 - 18 years)
(Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

We offer experimental courses on a wide range of topics, from alginate spaghetti to zinc oxide nanoparticles. In our Agnes-Pockels chemistry laboratory, children and teenagers can study food or cigarette smoke, build batteries, track material cycles and explore the special properties of macromolecules. Our weekly working groups offer even more opportunities for research and discovery.

Time: all year round, by arrangement

Fit for Information Collection

(15 - 18 years)
(multidisciplinary)

The skill to obtain relevant information is indispensable, especially in the so-called MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences or technology). In our introductory courses, pupils can either take a tour of the university library or be trained in suitable research strategies for their research work (Facharbeit).

Time: all year round, by arrangement

Mathematical Learning Workshop

(6 - 12 years)
(Mathematics and Computer Science)

The project promotes mathematical skills and the development of the personality of young students. It is aimed both at children with a low level of numeracy and those who are mathematically gifted. The mathematical learning workshop is an enhancement program that complements school mathematics classes without anticipating content.

Time: Subproject Support (alternating every 14 days): Class 3/4, Tues., 15.00 to 16.30 h. Class 5/6 and 7/8, Tuesdays, 16.45 to 18.15 h. Subproject Arithmetic Weakness: Wed, 15.00 to 16.00 h.

MINT for Girls

(15 - 18 years)
(multidisciplinary)

In a group of schoolgirls, the participants learn what the work of an engineer looks like and what awaits them in a technical engineering course of study. They test themselves in a company's workshop and in university laboratories and exchange ideas with students and experts from the field. Information on studies and career choices and a workshop on strength and interest analysis provide further orientation towards the desired profession.

Time: annually, during the school holidays
