Curriculum Vitae

Cong Uy NGUYEN was born in a peaceful countryside village, located at the northwest of Hue city, Vietnam.

In 2009, he became an engineering student at Department of Civil and Industrial Construction, University of Science and Technology-The University of Danang, Vietnam. He completed his degree with excellent grade and received the Valedictorian honor in 2014. His two notable achievements are the Consolation prize in the “National Structure Mechanics Competition” 2012, and the Second prize in the program "Talent Young Vietnamese Scientist" 2015.

From 2016 to 2018, he pursued the Master program at the Department of Ocean Engineering, Pukyong National University, South of Korea. During this period, he conducted researches on the structural dynamics (specifically for structural health monitoring of wind turbine towers) by the modeling and experimental approaches.

The year of 2019 is another important milestone in his academic journey. He started the Doctoral program, jointly supervised between the Université de technologie de Compiègne (France) and the Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany). For the first two years, he worked as a researcher at Laboratoire Roberval, Centre de recherches de Royallieu, Compiègne in the domain of numerical mechanics (specifically in computational solid mechanics and finite element method). Since 2021, he continues his research at the Institut für Wissenschaftliches Rechnen, focusing on the domain of uncertainty analysis and quantification.
