This lecture is part of the Master's program and is only offered in the winter semester. Both the lecture and the examination are held in English.
Attending the course, the students will be able to:
1. Introduction on Linux basics commands
2. Introduction on the open-source tool Cantera
3. Hand-on training for calculation of thermodynamic properties and chemical kinetics using Cantera with Python interface
4.Overview of the finite volume method
5. Introduction to OpenFoam® code structure, library organization, and compilation environment
6. Overview of the simulation setup, boundary conditions, solver and postprocessing utilities
7. Hands-on training on 1D and 2D inert and reacting flow simulations
8. Hands-on training on implementation of additional transport equations
9. Post-processing with Paraview and validation of results
