Vice-President Dietmar Smyrek (Human Resources, Finance and Building Construction) presented the certificates and hosted the event, which was organised in collaboration with the Human Resources department. Ulrike Wrobel, Equal Opportunities Officer, thanked the honourees for their perseverance and their contribution to the stability of the university. She compared the path of the (former) employees to a long-distance run in which obstacles are overcome, responsibility is taken on and, as a result, a supportive environment is created for everyone. Marcel Gey, Chairman of the Staff Council, emphasised that the long-standing colleagues lay the foundation for future developments through their experience and commitment. Melanie Schaller from the Alumni & Career Service Centre then invited all those present to become members of the TU Braunschweig's central alumni network free of charge. There, graduates and employees can stay in touch, plan alumni meetings or rediscover the campus.

The event concluded with light refreshments, during which guests exchanged memories and looked back on their years together in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a fitting end to an afternoon that demonstrated the gratitude and solidarity of TU Braunschweig.
