Impressions from the lives of our alumni are always also insights into the history of the university. So we were particularly pleased when Christine Hartwig-Thürmer - herself a historian - contacted us to hand over documents and photos from the estate of her father Hans-Joachim Hartwig (1929-2015). In addition to the handover to the university archive, an intensive exchange took place, during which the idea was born to provide a more extensive insight into studying in the post-war period. This exciting and personal look behind the scenes of studying 70 years ago takes us into a family history and the history of TU Braunschweig at that time.
