Studienarbeit (Bachelor/Studien/Masterarbeit)
Die Abteilung Wasserbau und Gewässermorphologie des Leichtweiß-Instituts für Wasserbau sucht einen Studierenden (m/w/d) des Bau- oder Umweltingenieurwesens mit Interesse an einer Bachelor-, Studien- oder Masterarbeit zum folgenden Thema: "Kolkversuche mit Kaiwand und Voith-Schneider-Propeller im Hafenbecken".
Methoden: Durchführung Kolkversuche, Erstellen von Structure-from-Motion-Modellen, Auswertung von Ultraschallsensordaten, Analyse der Kolkbildung für verschiedene Wandabstände und Drehzahlen des VSP. Vergleich mit Schraubenproppelerkolken.

We offer the opportunizty of an industry funded Master's Thesis
"Development of a Digital Assessment Tool for River Restoration"
in collaboration with vgbe energy e.v.
vgbe energy is currently participating in an EU-funded LIFE project focused on restoring river connectivity and improving ecological conditions in water bodies in Latvia. As part of this, vgbe energy is leading the development of a digital tool to assess the ecological and socio-economic impacts of river barrier removal. To support this work, vgbe energy is looking for a Master’s student interested in contributing to the research and design of this tool. The role involves gathering background information and applying methods such as indicator-based assessment and multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). This is a great opportunity for a student with a background in environmental sciences, sustainability, or hydrology who is interested in practical, EU-level restoration work and innovation.
The work can start immediately.
