Dr.-Ing. David Anton is a postdoctoral researcher in the Division Data-Driven Modeling of Mechanical Systems of the Institute of Applied Mechanics at Technische Universität Braunschweig where he completed his PhD in 2026 under the supervision of Prof. Henning Wessels. David Anton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering (2016) and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (2020). He was awarded with the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony in the category dataset in 2024.
His research focuses on uncertainty quantification, particularly in the context of model calibration and discovery. In addition, his research interests include, but are not limited to, scientific and probabilistic machine learning, model validation and structural health monitoring.
