Call for Abstracts: Early Careers – Transitions, Trajectories, Turnover

We are happy to announce the Call for Abstracts for the Special Issue with the title “Early Careers – Transitions, Trajectories, Turnover” in the Journal of Vocational Behavior.

What do we look for:
We are particularly interested in longitudinal trajectory investigations, with a special focus on their antecedents and outcomes related to career-related behaviors such as career turnover; early career interventions with a focus on career development like mentoring, coaching, or onboarding; holistic quantitative and qualitative investigations of career transitions (pre-transition, during transition, and post-transition); and studies on the consequences of career-related behavior on health and well-being.
We specifically encourage researchers to submit work focusing on underrepresented or stigmatized groups in relation to the aforementioned topics.

Key Dates:
·      Abstracts due: November 1, 2025 (max. 500 words, excluding references). Abstracts will be screened for suitability, and recommendations for full paper submissions will be sent out shortly afterward.
·      Full papers are due by February 15, 2026.
We are looking forward to your submissions and are happy to bring different research communities and disciplines together to advance the knowledge concerning various facets of early career research.
