The surface of Earth is a finite resource. Extractivist human activities have fostered climate change that poses the largest single threat to current and future (urban) societies.
ReSpace! is a multidisciplinary science ecosystem to jointly understand, explore, and utilize the potentials of the third dimension of space for the sustainable transformation of urban societies - from surface to space - by strategically bridging mutliple disciplines to explore accountabe and sustainable relationships in reponse-able spaces.

Based on absolute sustainability goals, the research framework aims to envision, develop, evaluate and propose scientifically founded and societally acceptable concepts - with an extended ecosystem of real-world environments and infrastructures serving as explorative laboratories for sustainable living and transformation - for a response-able sustainable transformation that meets the needs of current and future generations.
