Impact Damage Resistance Enhancement of Natural Fiber Composite Laminates

This research aims to improve the impact resistance of bio-based natural fiber composites (NFCs), which offer a more sustainable alternative to synthetic materials. By using bio-based interlayers inspired by fiber-metal laminates (FMLs), the study explores how these composites can perform better under impact conditions. The project compares them with traditional materials like glass fiber-reinforced polymers and looks into design optimization and simulation modeling.
