Studying Abroad with the Department of Mechanical Engineering

On average, every third student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering spends at least one semester abroad. Our students benefit from the numerous contacts to international partner universities within the context of exchange programmes. This enables students to study at a European partner university and then continue their studies at the Technische Universität Braunschweig without loss of time and with full recognition of the course achievements at the partner university.

In addition to the exchange programmes with European and non-European partner universities, the Department of Mechanical Engineering also offers its students the opportunity to participate in the so-called Dual Degree Programme. Upon its successful completion, the participants will receive the Master degree at the TU Braunschweig as well as the one at the partner university. Just like studying abroad, a placement abroad also enables students to gain an insight into the cultural, social and economic aspects of other countries and is therefore becoming increasingly popular. For students who want to study or complete a placement abroad, there is the possibility of financial support if certain conditions are met.
