The Platforms for Information Technology (PIT) module cluster integrates computing and communication systems, combining theory with practical challenges in a 30 ECTS package. Designed for Master’s students—especially international and ERASMUS students—it offers English-language instruction and flexible formats, including in-person and remote learning. Depending on the course, remote options include live streams, Jupyter Notebooks, and AI-based study support. Jointly developed by Institute of Computer and Network Engineering and Institute for Communications Technology at TU Braunschweig, PIT prepares students to be the engineers of the future for real-world applications in modern IT systems.
The PIT (Platforms for Information Technology) module cluster bridges advanced topics in computation and communication, providing a comprehensive foundation in both domains. The students chose 15 ECTS from each of the below categories.
Students complete 15 ECTS credits at the Institute of Computer and Network Engineering. This track focuses on computer architecture and system design. Learners gain insight into how modern computing systems are engineered across multiple abstraction layers to fulfill the demands of real-time, safety-critical, and resource-constrained applications.
