International collaboration is a key driver of scientific innovation. We were therefore delighted to welcome a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IIT Indore) to the BRICS - Braunschweig Integrated Centre of Systems Biology and the PVZ!
The visit to Technische Universität Braunschweig was part of a broader trip to German universities led by Prof. Suhas Joshi, Director of IIT Indore, aimed at expanding international cooperation. Discussions focused on opportunities for student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research projects and publications, bilateral research grants, collaborative workshops and conferences, and staff exchange programmes.
Professor Dieter Jahn introduced the BRICS with a lecture on the principles of systems biology and their application in the center followed by a tour through the metabolomics facility of the house. CEO Dr. Emanuela Montefrancesco welcomed the delegation to the PVZ including tours through laboratories and an introduction into the core research area „Engineering for Health“.
The meeting was characterized by intensive discussions and a very open, constructive atmosphere. Researchers from these three institutions exchanged ideas on shared scientific interests and potential collaboration formats, highlighting many promising starting points for future joint activities. The lively dialogue clearly reflected the strong commitment on both sides to building a sustainable and impactful partnership.
We look forward to deepening our collaboration and building new bridges between TU Braunschweig, BRICS, PVZ, and IIT Indore in the future.
