On 19th - 21st of July, the 2nd International Sociohydrology Conference 2025 was held in Tokyo, Japan.

More than 400 international researchers from different disciplines gathered at the conference to discuss their current works and knowledge gaps in the interdisciplinary research about human-water relations and dynamics and solutions for water issues. Hoseung Jung of our department participated the conference and presented his work under the title "Comparing the human-water dynamics patterns across the epochs in the history of the Oker catchment, Germany". The presentation received positive responses, and contacts with sociohydrologists, social scientists, anthropologists and historians have been made for potential collaborations.
