Esther Greussing conducts research at the interface of science communication and digital communication, with a particular focus on the role of non-human actors in the communication process. In the ALIES project, she investigates how generative AI is changing the communication of scientific findings in and with society. Her focus is on the perception and use of generative AI as an intermediary for science-related information and the associated implications for the knowledge society.

Methodologically, Esther Greussing primarily pursues quantitative approaches, supplemented by interview studies and eye tracking.
