The joint project "Future through Change: Sustainability Transformation in the Agricultural and Food Industry in Lower Saxony" (agri:change) addresses the necessary sustainability transformation of Lower Saxony's agricultural and food sector and aims to actively shape and promote a sustainable, resilient system – adapted to the specific characteristics of Lower Saxony. Resilience is understood as protecting the ecosystem and maintaining social responsibility and economic viability. The applicant and coordinator of the project is the Georg August University of Göttingen, supported in transdisciplinary coordination, governance and knowledge transfer by the Lower Saxony Agricultural Transformation Research Network (trafo:agrar). The five-year project deals with decisive levers for a sustainability transformation in transdisciplinary, practice-oriented real-world laboratories (agri:labs).
