Our certification programme University Teaching: The Basics enables both prospective and experienced teaching staff to enter and deepen their knowledge of higher education and media didactics. The programme offers you the opportunity to reflect on and develop your role and attitude towards teaching and learning in (digital) higher education, incorporating theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience. University Teaching: The Basics comprises a total of 50 units of work (AE, one AE equals 45 min.). The following elements are part of the programme:

You can work through the chapters of the online course independently and organise your work flexibly in terms of time and topic. Using an assignment, you will establish references to your teaching practice, which you will deepen and reflect on in progress meetings in interdisciplinary small groups. You can book these monthly meetings individually.
In the peer review, you will give each other feedback on your course concepts and prepare your teaching for the next semester in an optimal way. The peer review on course planning will take place on 23.06.2023, 09:00 – 12:00 Uhr, 14.09.2023, 09:00 – 12:00 Uhr
During a teaching visit, we will give you feedback on your course delivery from a higher education and media-didactic perspective. During a teaching consultation, we will answer your questions about challenges in your teaching.
The first face-to-face meeting will take place on 20.04.2023, 13:15-15:15. However, it is possible to join the programme at any time and also at a later date. We will inform you of the other concrete dates of the face-to-face meetings after your registration. The publication of the dates will follow shortly. In the summer semester 2023, the reflection meetings will take place in the Project House.
