HochNiNa

Sustainability network of universities in Lower Saxony

Founded in 2018, the network aims to enhance the knowledge exchange between universities in Lower Saxony. The representatives of each university work together in order to strengthen sustainable activities of universities within the State.

In addition to operational areas such as energy efficiency, mobility and waste, universities deal with sustainability in teaching, research, transfer and cooperation as well as structure, processes and reporting.

Universities in Lower Saxony concentrate on different topics und pursue various approaches. The results are visible in diverse areas of expertise, beneficial for the network and serve as source for inspiration and opportunities to reflect on individual activities.

The network is led by Anna Gerritzen (University of Applied Science Emden/Leer), Irmhild Brüggen (Leuphana University Lüneburg) and Marco Lange (University of Göttingen). They also coordinate the working groups of the network.

All universities in Lower Saxony are welcome to join HochNiNa.
