Representative for the needs of students with disabilities or chronic diseases

The representative for the needs of students with disabilities or chronic diseases is the central contact point at TU Braunschweig for students, applicants, students and doctoral candidates (excluding academic staff) with longer lasting or constant health impairments.

We advise and support you in all impairment related matters regarding programme orientation, application and course of studies.

We offer information, advice and support for

  • potential students
  • students and
  • doctoral candidates (excluding academic staff),

with longer lasting or constant impairments, especially

  • chronic-somatic or psychological diseases,
  • hearing impairments,
  • visual impairments,
  • speech impairments or
  • impairments of movement as well as Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

We offer information, advice and support in all study related questions and issues, that are associated with your impairment.

  • applying for "disadvantage compensations" (Nachteilsausgleiche)
