The federal Research Committee "Kulturphilosophie" (Philosophy of Culture) of Lower Saxony

has been aiming at the regional exchange in philosophical research for years now. It is facilitated by at least one annual cooperative meeting, encompassing pre-docs, post-docs and professors. The following universities have signed a cooperation treaty for the mutual exchange in research activities with a culture-philosophical emphasis:

• the Institute of Philosophy at Stiftung Universität Hildesheim (Prof. Dr. A. Hetzel, Prof. Dr. T. Borsche, Prof. Dr. Rolf Elberfeld)
• the Philosophy Section at the Institute of Culture Theory, Culture Research and Arts at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Prof. Dr. Jamme)
• the Institute of Philosophy at Technische Universität Braunschweig (Prof. Dr. Nicole C. Karafyllis, Prof. Dr. Dr. C.-A. Scheier, Prof. Dr. H.-C. Schmidt am Busch)
• until 2013: the special field of Philosophy/Aesthetics at HBK Braunschweig (formerly: Prof. Dr. H. Böhringer)
