This seed-funded project is carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Space Systems (IRAS) at TU Braunschweig. Its main objective is to establish the groundwork for a future joint research activity between the two institutes, focused on the numerical and experimental investigation of internal flow behavior in rocket combustion chambers as a function of injector design.
The study targets a gaseous methane/gaseous oxygen rocket combustion chamber operating at a nominal pressure of 20 bar. The work conducted so far has concentrated on the preliminary selection of injector configurations, laying the foundation for upcoming detailed analyses.
