Rebekka joined the institute in October 2025 as a Research Associate.
Her interest in modelling engineering problems began during her Bachelor’s studies, when she worked as a student research assistant simulating batteries. She quickly became interested in using simulations to better understand complex systems. This motivated her to pursue a Master’s degree in Computational Sciences in Engineering at TU Braunschweig, where she deepened her knowledge in modelling and machine learning.
Today, Rebekka works in the project “ReSpace!”. Her research focuses on how urban spaces can be designed to be more resilient and adaptable. She uses simulations to analyse topics such as urban climate.
Student projects and theses are very welcome. Please contact Rebekka via email for further information.
