The aim of student theses is to apply the skills and methods learnt during your studies in a scientifically sound manner. Our aim is to teach you the necessary scientific work based on current topics from research and practice.
At our institute, you have the opportunity to work on issues raised by us as well as to contribute your own ideas - also in co-operation with companies. You are also welcome to browse through the pages of our team to find out where the individual employees are focussing their work and what they are working on. We are also happy to link our tasks to our practical projects.
Theses supervised by us focus on continuously improving the understanding of customer needs, customer orientation, marketing mechanisms and entrepreneurship. Our theses also focus on empirical methods and you will have the opportunity to "go into the field" with your research question and analyse customers, consumers and (young) companies.
Based on a task with initial starting literature - also based on your idea - we aim to provide close supervision in which you have the opportunity to enter into dialogue and discourse with us on your own research. It goes without saying that we will support and advise you on how to work scientifically, how to design interview guidelines or questionnaires and how to discuss and integrate the results.
Below you will find advertised topics in the area of Marketing & Customer Analytics. If you are interested in a topic, please get in touch directly with the contact person listed. You are welcome to obtain information on several topics - in this case, please put the other contact person(s) in Cc.
You will soon find the topics in the area of Marketing & Sustainability here.
The aim of the colloquium is to provide a platform for the presentation and critical discussion of scientific findings.
Presentations for Bachelor's and student research projects should not exceed 15 minutes in length. Master's theses should be 20 minutes long. In addition, there is about 10 minutes of discussion time per presentation.
The colloquium takes place regularly, taking current demand into account. The specific dates (and rooms) as well as the colloquium topics can be found in the Stud.IP events (access to the Bachelor's course / access to the Master's course).
Due to IT security vulnerabilities, digital submissions of student work and any digital attachments will only be accepted via Stud.IP from 1 October 2022.
Please register for the Stud.IP course "Colloquium: Bachelor Colloquium Service Management" or "Colloquium: Master Colloquium Service Management" for the semester in which you are scheduled to submit your thesis/student research project.
The files are submitted in the corresponding Stud.IP course in the "Submissions" folder.
