Student works have the aim of applying the skills and methods learned during their studies in a scientifically sound manner. Our aim is to provide you with the necessary scientific work on the basis of current topics from research and practice.
At the Chair of Services Management you have the opportunity to work on thesis topics raised by us, but also to contribute your own ideas - gladly also in cooperation with companies. Please have a look at the pages of our team to see where the thematic interests of the individual research assistants lie. Our focus is on mobility services such as car- or ridesharing, communication- and data-based services such as smart (product) services or data-based services, as well as sports marketing and sponsoring. In terms of content, our research interests focus on the analysis and improvement of customer relationships (Customer Relationship Management), sales activities (Sales Management), brand management issues (Strategic Brand Management), and the design and customer-related evaluation of service innovations (Services Design).
The focus of the theses we supervise is the continuous improvement of the understanding of customer needs and the resulting requirements for the customer orientation of companies. We focus on empirical methods and give you the opportunity to "go into the field" with your research question and to investigate (potential) customers and consumers.
Starting with a problem definition and initial literature, we strive to provide you with close support, giving you the opportunity to engage in exchange and discourse with us on your own research. It goes without saying that we provide support and advice for a scientific approach, for the design of interview guidelines or questionnaires as well as for the discussion and integration of the results.
For further information, please contact a team member directly, if you share common research interest or if you already have a proposal in the direction of their research interests.
