TU for Future – Hybrid Lecture Series on the Climate Crisis

TU for Future examines the climate crisis from various perspectives: energy, soil, moors, fake news – experts contribute current research and discuss sustainable solutions.

In the 2025/26 winter semester, we once again cordially invite everyone from Braunschweig and beyond to engage with the climate crisis and other environmentally relevant topics. TU for Future is an annual lecture series organized with student support at TU Braunschweig during the winter semester.

This year, we have expanded the format to allow even more people to participate:

  • In-person lectures: Three events will take place at TU Braunschweig (Room 4.3 / Old Building). They will be recorded and made available online the following day.
  • Online lectures: Some lectures will take place exclusively online and will be published on YouTube or StudIP the following day.
  • Pre-recorded lectures: In addition, there will be contributions produced in advance in cooperation with MediaLab. These will be available as course material via YouTube and StudIP and can also be used again in the coming years.

TU students can receive credit for the lecture series in the interdisciplinary pool if the following conditions are met:

  • Participation in the online final test: 5 questions per lecture, available from February 5 to 15, 2026.
  • Completion: The test can be taken independently online within this period.
  • Pass mark: At least 50% of the total points.

There is no compulsory attendance – everyone can decide individually whether to participate in person or digitally.

Location: TU Braunschweig, room PK 4.3 in the old building (for the in-person lectures), on YouTube (Fridays for Future Braunschweig) and in StudIP

Registration: via StudIP / 1514082

Time: Wednesdays, October 22, 2025, to February 4, 2026 (break from December 17, 2025, to January 7, 2026), 6:30–8:00 p.m.
