FAQs

[Translate to English:]
Who can use the workplace health promotion services?

In principle, all employees of TU Braunschweig can participate in the courses and seminars of the workplace health promotion program. In the case of offers that take place in cooperation with staff training, the service agreement 39.

As an employee, do I incur costs for participating in the CHP programs?

All workplace health promotion services are made available to TU Braunschweig employees free of charge.

Is participation in the BGF offers recognized as working time?

According to the new service agreement no. 39, you may attend a company health promotion course as part of your working hours. Please only book this course via the registration portal for staff training. After the registration deadline for staff training has expired, you are welcome to book further free places via the company health promotion/sports center booking system. Courses booked via the sports center booking system are generally not recognized as working time.

In addition, we offer one-off seminars, participation in which is also recognized as working time. Please book the seminar/seminars you would like to attend via the registration portal for staff training. After the registration deadline for staff training has expired, you are welcome to enquire about further free places via the Workplace Health Promotion department.

How do I register for BGF programs as an apprentice?

If you are a TU Braunschweig trainee and would like to take part in the workplace health promotion program, please register under Tariff B "Employees of TU Braunschweig".

What should I do in the event of an accident?

In the event of an accident during university sports, the injured person must immediately see a D-doctor (designated physician).

Important! An accident report must then be submitted to the sports center!

Where are the courses and seminars held?

What happens if I can't attend certain class sessions?

Of course, it’s no problem if you’re unable to attend individual class sessions due to vacation, illness, work commitments, or personal reasons.

However, if you anticipate that you will be unable to attend the course on a long-term basis, we would appreciate it if you could let us know so that we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list, if necessary.

Can I attend a different class as a one-time exception if I can't make my regular class?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to attend individual sessions of another course if you are unable to attend—partly for insurance reasons and partly for organizational reasons.

Many of the workplace health promotion courses are fully booked, and there are also people on the waiting list for many of the courses offered. If every participant could simply attend a different course when unable to attend, we and the course instructors would quickly lose track of things, and insurance coverage would also not be guaranteed.

We appreciate your understanding.

What is the registration process like?

In an initial registration period, TU Braunschweig employees can register through the Central Office for Continuing Education during their working hours. Any remaining spots will be made available in a subsequent registration period via the University Sports Center’s booking system two weeks before the start of the semester.

I'm on the waiting list. How does the replacement process work?

If you are on the waiting list for a workplace health promotion program through the Central Staff Training Office, any spots that become available will be filled in the order in which registrations are received via Stud.IP (see DV 39).

If you register via the University Sports Center’s booking system, those on the waiting list will be notified accordingly. The spot will be allocated to the person who registers first.
