Qigong & Tai Chi for Employees and Students at TU Braunschweig
This event is part of Health Week 2026.
Start your day full of energy with simple physical exercises and mindful breathing.
Qigong and Tai Chi are meditative forms of movement that combine exercises for relaxed concentration with physical and breathing exercises. Rather than isolating individual muscles or muscle groups, the natural movements that flow through the entire body result in the balanced strengthening of the entire musculoskeletal system and improved flexibility. Balance and coordination are also trained, and body awareness is enhanced. This session focuses on Qigong and is supplemented by elements from Tai Chi.
The session takes place while standing in comfortable everyday clothing. No materials are used.
Note: This is a free recreational activity. It is not recognized as work time.

Pelvic Floor Training (17.09.2026)
This event is part of Health Week 2026.
This workshop offers an accessible introduction to the topic of pelvic floor health. Participants will receive easy-to-understand information about the structure and function of the pelvic floor, typical risk factors, and early warning signs of weakness. In addition, practical strategies for daily life and simple exercises will be presented that can help participants become more aware of their pelvic floor and strengthen it over the long term.
Background: The pelvic floor plays a central role in our health. It stabilizes the internal organs, influences continence and posture, and affects everyday movements. Yet many people know very little about its function, often only becoming aware of it once symptoms have already appeared. Studies show that about one in three women and one in five men are affected by pelvic floor weakness at some point in their lives. Many of these risks can be significantly reduced through early education and targeted training.
Note: This is a free recreational activity. It will not be recognized as work time.
