The EU Support Office centrally handles the preparation of financial reports for all Horizon Europe projects that start in January 2026 or later. This will significantly reduce the project administration workload for the institutes. The measures adopted by the Executive Committee in November 2025 are intended to encourage researchers to submit even more applications for EU projects, which can be more complex to administer.

On February 19, the National Contact Point for Research Infrastructures (NKS FIS) is offering a webinar on the current funding opportunities in the 2026-2027 work programme in Horizon Europe. The webinar also uses granted projects to illustrate what is important for a successful application.
The European Commission is making a total of around €710 million available over the next two years through the work programme. The first of two rounds of calls for proposals closes on June 16, 2026. The webinar will last 2 hours. Register for the webinar here.
