The influence of different nutrient and stress conditions on the quorum sensing (QS) and quorum quenching (QQ) regulated activities of Pseudomonas putida IsoF will be studied using physiologically defined chemostate conditions (different macronutrient starvation, challenging temperature and oxygen levels) as well as biofilm and rhizosphere colonization experiments. The QS-regulated putisolvin-production (psoR) and the expression of ppuI- and ppuR-gfp promotor fusions will be studied under these conditions together with the quantification of the N-acylhomoserine lactone (HSL) and homoserine (HS) molecules using high resolving metabolite analysis as well as monoclonal antibodies and ELISA-technique.
