The Computer Science program can also be pursued on a part-time basis, provided there is a specific justification (e.g., caring for minor children or gainful employment)—in accordance with the Part-Time Study Regulations at TU Braunschweig.
Please note, however: The part-time program is *not* designed to be pursued alongside full-time employment! Courses and lectures are scheduled throughout the entire week.
In a part-time program, the standard duration of study is doubled. Students are permitted to earn only 30 ECTS credits per academic year (instead of 60 credits in the full-time program), or a maximum of 16 credits per semester (instead of 30 credits).
Applications for part-time study must be submitted one academic year in advance in advance and must be submitted to the TU Braunschweig Student Office by 1st of October for a start in winter semester, or by 1st of April for a start in summer semester.
The application must be accompanied by an individualized study plan; this plan must be coordinated with—and formally confirmed in writing (signed) by—either the Chairperson of the Examination Board or the representative designated by the respective academic departments.
