Closure during Christmas holidays

The entire Faculty 1 (Dean's Office, Doctoral Office, Examination Offices and Degree Programme Coordination) will be closed from 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. Your questions cannot be answered during this period.

Current consultation hours regulation

Students have the opportunity to book appointments for a consultation time. This is done via the StudIP system (https://studip.tu-braunschweig.de). You can click directly on the adjacent link or search for "Prüfungsamt Informatik" in StudIP and then click on Sprechstunden to make an appointment.

The consultation hours are intended to clarify problems relating to the course of study. Therefore, please enter the topic of your problem directly when booking so that we can advise you better.

Documents (transcripts of records, applications for recognition of achievements, etc.) should continue to be submitted by post. Please use the normal postal service or the central mailbox of TU Braunschweig. You will find this in the Forum building (Universitätsplatz 2) - see Graphic below.

Exam registration

All registrations

Generally, all exam registrations have to happen online. For exams where this is not possible, you can send a written registration using the form below:

You have to register your exam achievements during the registration period. Please follow the additional instructions that will be in an E-mail or announced on the respective websites.

Outside the above-mentioned registration period no more examination registrations will be accepted, even upon request!

Please note the following: As the dates for oral exams have to be arranged independently with the institutes, a fictitious exam date is stored in the online system for the registration of oral exams. This date marks the first day of the examination period and thus the earliest day from which oral examinations can take place in the respective semester.

Cancelling your exam registration

Cancellation of registrations is possible until the penultimate day before the exam date.

You have to use this form: Abmeldeformular, which must be signed and handed in in person, sent by fax, as an e-mail attachment (from your TU e-mail address, submit the original later) or by letter to the Examination Office in due time.

In due time meaning:

In Person at your respective examination office
By Fax to the Faxnumber: 0531-391 8220
By (postal) Mail (if the notification of illness is sent by post, the date of the postmark will count as proof that the deadline has been met) It is your responsibility to ensure that a postmark with the date on the letter is legible.
Cancelling online: Until 23:59 (Midnight) on the penultimate day before the test.

You can also cancel your registration for exams using the Online portal.

Please inform the Examination Office if you withdraw from a voluntary repeat examination online so that the original examination result can be displayed again for you.

You will not receive a separate confirmation of your cancellation via the online portal.

Final theses

As of now, final theses (bachelor's or master's thesis) are uploaded in TUConnect. Submission by e-mail or on data carriers is no longer required. The date of submission is the upload date of the submission to the examination office.

Bound copies no longer have to be submitted to the Examinations Office. Examiners can request the submission of a printed copy within 5 days of the upload date. In that case, the submission will take place at the examiners' office.

There is an automatic plagiarism check.

You can only upload one PDF document (the declaration of originality and task must be included). To do this, convert your work as a PDF document directly from your word document or use the print function. Please do not scan!

For data protection reasons, you may remove the personal data "last name", "first name" and "matriculation number" from the electronic version of your thesis before uploading it.

The maximum file size is 150 MB. If necessary, please reduce the resolution of images/drawings in the file.
