We are committed to ensuring that all members of the university handle information responsibly.

The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at TU Braunschweig is your central point of contact for all questions regarding the secure handling of information and digital resources. Our goal is to ensure information security at our university and to create a secure environment for all members of TU Braunschweig in research, teaching, and administration.

An overview of our core responsibilities:

• Awareness and Training: In addition to basic training for employees and IT Security Awareness Days, we conduct phishing campaigns at regular and irregular intervals to raise awareness of information security and promote best practices.

  Awareness in IT-Security 

• Consulting and Support: Our team is available to provide you with personalized consulting services. When it comes to decentralization, our Decentralized Information Security Officers (DISBs) are your primary points of contact and will help you identify security risks and implement appropriate measures.

  Dezentralized Information Security Officers 

• Protection of Sensitive Data: Based on the BSI IT-Grundschutz framework, we develop strategies and measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Through this work, we provide significant support to the IT Security Board in formulating security policies.

  IT-Security Governance

• Security Incident Coordination: In the event of a security incident, we are ready to respond quickly to minimize potential damage.
